Corban having fun
We live in a church basement ... that means there's a nice big open space of concrete to play on! Corban, Tylor, and the little boys, Lincoln (3 1/2) and Wyatt (1 1/2) all like to ride the little bikes around the basement like crazy people. It's so fun to watch! Here is John Hopper, Lincoln and Wyatt's dad, pushing Corban on the 'big wheel'. It looks really funny in slow motion :)
Be sure to check out my two other blogs - I just posted a lot of pictures on both.
I pray you all are doing well.

Another update
We just got back from visiting a new church – I have a penpal there who invited us to visit (her husband so kindly paid for our gas). We had a really good time and hope to go back soon for a longer stay to check the church out more. As soon as Nevaeh is no longer in my care, we plan to visit there a while and stay in the church to get a more accurate view of things. I thought I’d share some of the things we did.
Tylor did the most – first on Friday night he went out street preaching with a few of the men. They go about an hour and a half away to a bigger city and hold up signs in the downtown area during the evening hours for the bar crowd. One young man that goes to the church was saved that way … he came out of the bar and saw the pastor of the church holding up a sign that said, “The party ends in Hell”. He and the pastor talked for a long time and the rest is history. Now he is married and has 2 young children – they are missionaries in the Philippines but are back right now. Tylor said the environment was pretty defiling – a lot of drunk people, women dressed really bad, and so on. But, he is thankful for the experience. The men of the church all go out several times a week in the surrounding areas (bigger cities) to reach the lost. On Saturday all the children did yard work (the people we stayed with have a few acres – they just moved there and it needs a little help to say the least). Tylor left in the afternoon to help another family herd in some bulls. He was a cowboy for a half a day; he had to ride a horse and all. Then on Sunday he helped another man fix several things that were wrong with my van. The van runs all right, but has been neglected to say the least. Brianna had a lot of fun hanging out with me and the other women. She played a lot with the younger children and also got to ride a horse for over an hour – Tylor, Brianna, Corban and two other older boys rode their horses from the boys’ house to the place we had the evening meeting. After the meeting they rode some more … Brianna said that was the best day of her life thus far. She likes horses so much but has never ridden one like that. Because she was so busy with the horses, she did not get to visit much with the only girl that was her age! They plan to write instead. Corban worked a lot but played more! He had plenty of new friends to keep him busy. Nevaeh also had several new friends; I think she spent most of the time on the trampoline. I had a really good time as well – it was a very refreshing trip. As is always the case when we visit new people, I learned a lot of practical things from the women. One was a really yummy way to cook beans – the man who fixed our car, he and his wife just got back from living in southern Mexico for several years and she cooked us a delicious meal of beans, rice, fresh tortillas and a zucchini/tomato dish. YUM. She gave me plenty of her secret ingredient to take home – dried avocado leaves.
We left on Monday. We got about an hour out of town and our van broke down … fuel pump. I called the man who worked on our van over the weekend and he and his family came as soon as they could. They got there about 2 ½ hours later, so we sat under a bush while we waited (it was HOT and that was the only shade around). We had fun singing, reading books, talking, etc. He got done with the van around 9:45pm, so we decided to go back to the town and sleep at the church. All went well and we got home safe on Tuesday. The whole trip was such a blessing. I could say so much more, but I don’t want to bore everyone!
OK – here’s some pictures to share … some from our trip and some from other times.

This might be the cutest little girl I've seen ... her name is Christiana and she's almost 2.
Christiana again ...

Christiana again ...Breakdown! You can see our new friend Marcus in the back ground (right side) taking a break from fixing my van to witness to a man who stopped. Monica is on the right, I'm on the left ... we were talking to the man's wife.
God bless you all - we love you!
In Christ,
Joanne and children.
